A passion project
Like most things it takes me a while to hop on board. I like to take my time, feel them out and see how they resonate with my spirit. Essential oils were no different.
I was hosting a yoga retreat in Puerto Rico, about 10 years ago now, where my mind opened to the value, beauty, and opportunity essential oils hold. There, I met a wonderful local artisan crafting his own blends, Wilfredo. He shared with me his story, we talked about his family, and he truly opened up about his passion...crafting essential oil blends!
I was inspired and began using his blends on myself and with clients witnessing amazing results. These blends seemed to have magical powers they cleared laryngitis, aided insomnia in people who had been struggling for years, and support hundreds of people through bouts of anxiety and depression.
True to Holistically Inspired style, I knew I had to explore these little magical oils deeper. Soon, I began blending oils to have similar effects to Chinese herbal formulas. Initially, I blended oil formulas while people were resting during their treatment based on their Eastern Medicine diagnosis at hand.
As you can imagine, this got a little involved and I soon discovered that making these formulas beforehand was the way to go and thus, Holistically Inspired Rx. line was born.
